Position resides within the Worldwide (WW) Field Medical Excellence department of WW Medical Capabilities group; Reports to WW Field Medical Communications Lead (WW FMCL), Oncology.

Summary

* Primary focus is US; may lend support to WW projects with US applicability.

* Tightly aligned with the US FM lead, and integrated into US FM team, with responsibility to develop and communicate field medical plan (disease and product strategy, content, training, capability measures) and execute special projects.

* Serves as liaison to US Medical strategy leads, integrated as a strategic member within the US Medical organization and core member of the US Oncology Medical Matrix team to represent and incorporate field medical perspective into the US medical strategies and plans. Partner with WW FMCL to bridge WW FM vision to local implementation.

* Partners with US Field Medical leaders to ensure and enable superior scientific exchange with health care professionals.

* Serves as Medical Insights lead, including coordination of US FIRe (Fast Insight Review) team, for aligned tumors in oncology, medical insight summarization and communication and aligns with WW FMCL on the global insight summary reports.

Contribution to Field Medical Strategy, Planning, and Execution

* Accountable for representing US Field Medical unique market needs and insights for input into WW training objectives, content and resources.

* Supports US FM Team Lead with development of the US Field Medical plan and book of work that defines field activities; and informs data and training needs. Partners with US FM Team Lead in representing US FMS Team during strategic discussions with matrix team.

* Adapts WW Medical Communication Topics (MCTs) to US market needs in alignment with US Medical Plan and approval from US FMLT.

* Coordinates content approval, management (SharePoint, Veeva Vault, MEDeXchange) and communication of new resources/data updates/new market events (e.g. launches).

* Operationalizes FM capabilities platforms in include Field Medical activity recording, and health care professional insights tools (MEDsights), working with business solutions to implement surveys, analyze data and report results.

* Serves as central point, in partnership with Business Insights & Analytics (BI&A) team and other contributors, to coordinate the analysis and communication of US medical insights; Responsible for developing Key Information Topics (KITS), leading US Fast Insight Review (FIRe) team, and insight summarization and communication; Feeds US FM insights into the WW medical insights communication channels for aligned tumors in oncology.

* Participates in strategic discussions regarding FM clinical trial support activities, facilitates tracking and prioritization of field efforts in data generation. Orchestrates study training where required.

* Aligns with WW FMCL for congress coverage assignments and assists with congress planning in the US, inclusive of coordinates US FM congress coverage with US FM Lead/FMLT and US Medical, FM briefing prior to congresses, day-to-day congress FM activities and develop post-congress FM reports and debriefs.

* Implements US Field Medical Operations projects in TA, and ensures alignment across FM function.

* Develops objectives, agenda and framework for FM TA meetings (incl. Alliance meetings); supports US FM Team Lead and RADs in planning and delivery of national and regional meetings.

Lead Field Medical Training Execution

* Partners with the US FM Team Lead to assess key medical competencies and knowledge required to deliver local medical plan objectives and best-in-class HCP interactions (new hires and existing);

* Develops and executes US FM annual training plan, adapting to brand lifecycle, competitive landscape and business priorities of the US market;

* Ensures execution of timely training on data, resources, technology and soft skills capabilities to enable informative scientific exchange with external health care professionals and internal partners, which accurately reflect the scientific data; Manages training calendar and facilitates training delivery through a range of channels (e.g. face-to-face, remote and via Success Factors.)

* Aligns with WW standards for excellence in understanding and communicating the disease area, compounds, their value and outcomes with healthcare providers; collaborates with WW FMCLs to develop assessments and tools for evaluating training and performance; Adapts for US market needs.

* Partners with WW FMCL to maintain on-boarding guides; manages US-specific FM on-boarding process for aligned tumors in oncology.

Field Medical Communication and Value Demonstration

* Partners with US FM Lead to communicate Field Medical achievements across the matrix and ensures visibility of team efforts with senior leadership.

* Partners with US FM Lead to set quantitative and qualitative measures to demonstrate and communicate value of US Field Medical initiatives and HCP satisfaction.

* Assists US FM Lead with developing and communicating value, metrics and achievement of objectives to key stakeholders.

* Contributes to the Field Medical community including facilitating best practice sharing across the teams and geographies.

* Ensures appropriate alignment and communication with alliance partners.

Experiences Desired

* Previously held Field deployed and/or Field Management position in pharmaceutical company (advantageous 2 years)

* Demonstrated ability to lead and influence effectively across matrixed organization

* Proven success in managing projects within medical and/or commercial team (mandatory)

* Demonstrated ability to synthesize and communicate data effectively

* Experience in collaborating to develop Medical/Marketing strategy and/or objectives for a product (desired)

* Position is located in Princeton Pike, NJ, US with travel up to 20%
