We are seeking energetic, forward thinking professional to join the Decommission, Retire and Archive Center of Excellence as the Retirement Functional Team Lead.

This person will lead teams across several functional areas to manage the demand into the retirement factory, and will include partnering with an Engagement Lead to ensure proper legacy system characteristics are gathered and assessed to prioritize demand. Once the demand has been properly characterized, this person will manage the proper retirement of systems from requirements gathering, any necessary archive and reporting design with work instructions through to handing the underlying technology over to the appropriate groups for reuse or final disposition.

Main Responsibilities

Oversee multiple independent contract teams assigned to the retirement and archival of functional groups of systems/assets. These groups will be responsible for the following activities:

* Gather requirements to properly retire systems and document in a retirement plan including any necessary testing.

* If necessary, lead the business analyst functions for archive design and liaise with archivists to create an archive design plan document.

* Ensure that all archive and retire activities are executed and underlying technology is returned to the appropriate functions for reuse or final disposition. Document all of these activities in a retirement summary report.

Partner with the Engagement Lead in assessing candidate programs prepare for retirement:

* Work with portfolio/project teams to assess optimal strategy for minimizing Total Cost of Ownership in retiring existing systems

* Along with Divisional Information Technology (IT) and Application Management Services (AMS) teams plan decommissioning activities to accelerate savings opportunities

* Contribute to policies and procedures

* Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of applicable decommission, retire and archive policies, procedures and work instructions as part of the subject matter expert team

* Support the Information Asset Management team

* Assist in harvesting and compiling metadata related to candidate assets to ensure that the asset can be cataloged and managed throughout its data retention cycle

* Demand Management and Planning

Along with Program Management Office (PMO) resources:

* Build tools that aid in guiding prioritization decisions

* Analyze demand volume and retirement factory velocity to inform departmental level staffing decisions including the development of portfolio funding proposals

Along with the Engagement Lead:

* Assemble legacy system characteristics

* Perform and report relative priority assessments with constructs governed by the PMO

* Inform legacy system client team planning activities

* Provide mentorship and leadership to team members

Minimum Required Education

* Bachelors Degree or equivalent

Required Skill Set

* 7+ years of experience in system implementation/operations, with 3 years experience with major COTS or ERP class systems (e.g. SAP or Oracle EBS, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards).

* Strong communications and teamwork skills.

Experience with

* project management and planning

* leading global teams

* system development lifecycle methodology

* Experience operating as a primary business liaison for requirements gathering and establishing priorities. Ability to apply that experience to design cost-effective retirement and archiving solutions for assets that meet our company's data retention obligations.

Preferred

* Experience with operation of systems in SaaS and IaaS environments.

* Experience archiving data in major archive systems and/or operating those systems.

* Experience with early stage data and system architecture, design and engineering.

* Experience working in regulated environments
