Apples IT Governance & Planning team is seeking a hands-on IT professional to lead Security, Privacy, and Compliance initiatives across Apples IS&T organization. We have built a very special team that drives security, privacy, and compliance-related initiatives and standards across various information technology functions, including core business applications such as Apple Online Store, Apple retail stores, AppleCare, HR systems, engineering systems, and others. This is an extraordinary opportunity for the right candidate seeking to drive operational and strategic excellence in Apples IT governance processes.

Key Qualifications
* 5+ years experience across security, privacy, and compliance
* Significant experience with cloud compliance (AWS, GCP, Kubernetes)
* Significant experience with SOX, PCI, GDPR. Knowledgeable about COBIT, NIST, CIS and other emerging frameworks
* Self-starter, critical thinking with strong leadership and project management capabilities
* Ability to establish mentorship/standards and work with relevant teams to implement the required controls
* Ability to establish and supervise security, privacy, and compliance metrics
* Ability to collaborate with and report to multiple partners, including information security teams, infrastructure teams, external and internal auditors, legal teams, and application engineering teams
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to influence cross-functional teams and demonstration of thought leadership
* Ability to build relationships with individuals at all levels in the organization
* Ability to thrive in fast paced environments and crisis situations
* Ability to consistently navigate through ambiguous situations and drive solutions
* Ability to act as a mentor to members of the team
* Basic knowledge of programming and query languages such as SQL and Java
* Knowledge of Perl, Python, and other scripting languages is a plus

This is a high-visibility role where you will be responsible for driving Security, Privacy, and Compliance initiatives with partners throughout the organization. You will establish standards and help drive automation to assess controls. You will help design, develop, and review the efficiency of a wide range of Security, Privacy, and Compliance metrics governing all IT applications at Apple. You should be ready to lead and to drive projects, audits, and assessments, bring operational efficiencies, develop strong working relationships, and most importantly, be a teammate. Bachelors degree in information systems/computer science or equivalent. Equivalent work experience at a comparable company, or credible consulting firm will be considered.

* At least one of CISA, CISM and CISSP certifications are preferred
* Location flexible (Santa Clara Valley, CA or Austin, TX)
