Join theNorthrop Grumman Technical Services Business Unit supporting Wallops FlightFacility as a Systems Administrator. As an employee supportingNASAs Wallops Engineering Services Contract (WESC) you will provide servicesto multiple NASA customers at the site through multiple Systems Administrationactivities that are required to ensure the Wallops missions continue tosucceed.

The responsibilities of the position include theinstallation, configuration, and maintenance of operating system workstationsand servers, including web servers, in support of technical and programmaticprocessing requirements. Additional responsibilities include performingsoftware installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered softwarepackages. The Systems Administrator schedulesinstallations, upgrades, and maintenance in accordance with established ITpolicies and procedures and ensures workstation and server security and dataintegrity by evaluating and implementing software and hardware solutions. TheSystems Administrator ensures data recoverability by regular system backups and database archiveoperations, including offsite storage and retrieval services and conductsroutine hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensurecompliance with established standards, configuration guidelines, and ITsecurity policies.

Additional taskingmay include website creation and maintenance and maintenance of program controlroom computer systems.

The Systems Administratorwill possess knowledge of current operating systems software, workstations, andservers; and their operation, maintenance, and sustaining engineering. Candidateswill be familiar with latest IT security policies, threat practices andsoftware, and software detection and remediation applications. Both Windows and Cent OS Linux experience areneeded.

'Basic Qualifications:

Bachelorof Science degree in Computer Science, Mathematics of Engineering from anaccredited institution with 3 years of experience.
