Job Summary

As Regional Professional Services Manager you will lead and grow NetApps field operations organization for a defined sales region. As a key member of the Area Management team, you contribute and support growth of the field organization, insuring that it remains extremely focused on understanding and meeting Enterprise customer requirements, building long-term relationships, and achieving high levels of customer satisfaction. You work closely with the Area Director, Sales and System Engineering teams, the Global Solution Centers, and like teams in other regions or areas to drive total customer satisfaction, services business enhancements and growth, as well as financial management of the services business. This position requires a dynamic, hard-working and ambitious individual, with strong verbal and written communication skills. Individuals will also possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills and have experience managing and contributing to growth of a professional services consulting practice.

Essential Functions:
Manage a two-tiered organization that delivers NetApp solutions (Services and Consulting). This includes working closely with NetApp Sales and Software Engineer groups, and Project Management and Consulting resources, to deliver services and develop business within the Area.
Meet sales and services targets.
Track and manage customer satisfaction, including addressing areas of concern.
Manage the field support of the NetApp installed base within the Region in close linkage with NetApp Global Support Centers.
Act as the Regional Manager resource for all customer-facing meetings.
Drive local and corporate best practices throughout the regional team to ensure consistent, high quality and repeatable solutions.
Participate in the planning and budget process as it relates to planning, goal attainment, expense management, and revenue recognition.
Track and forecast financial targets and provide reporting and submission of financial data to support corporate actions.
Contribute to the revisions of presentation materials for both Corporate and Regional specific documents.
Work with Corporate groups on enhancements of deliverables, processes, and operations solutions.
Support escalations in the Region.

Job Requirements

Broad exposure to a variety of technologies/concepts and management experience in a distributed environment.
Proven ability to manage the financial elements that make up the Area.
Experience in managing and enhancing a world-class field services organization, as well as growing a Professional Services Consulting practice.
Management experience with consulting business management, SAN and NAS storage, virtual, networking, and backup solutions is critical.
Experience in partner management, operations, and project management.
Recurring review of delivery documents.
Reporting requirements include: weekly performance reports to sales peers, monthly forecast of revenue recognition (commits and upside), and monthly business reviews (both direct team and sales reports).
Up to 50%+ travel may be required.

Education

Typically requires a BS/BA degree and a minimum of 8 years of applicable experience, including several years of experience in a field-based services management position, and 2-3 years as a people manager required; or equivalent related combination of applicable education/certifications/training and related experience.

Prior people management experience with direct reports is required.

Must have experience supporting an Enterprise customer base.
