The Role
As the Relationship Manager on the Large-Market team in Retirement Plan Services, you will work under direct supervision of the Director, Relationship Management and have a caseload of plans which generally includes clients in the plan asset range of $100M +. Your key performance metrics and responsibilities are centered on client retention, satisfaction, and growth and profitability. You will have overall accountability for Plan Sponsor relationships within an assigned book of business.
This role will include up to 50% travel at peak periods
Responsibilities
Relationship Management
* Overall accountability for assigned book of business retention and profitability
* Delivers proactive account management, including but not limited to; understanding client goals & objectives, implementing a strategic relationship process, develop and maintain client specific business plans, deepening existing client relationships, assisting plan sponsor in managing fiduciary responsibilities, ensure client is aware of Lincoln products and service capabilities and identify opportunities to increase assets under management
* Fosters growth of relationships with Consulting community within assigned territory
* Develops and maintains strong client and consultant relationships to the highest level of decision makers
* Preparation and execution of successful in-person and/or phone meetings, including plan reviews
* Practice and abide by our non-negotiables (Integrity, urgency, ownership, caring, professionalism), our common purpose, and our service values
* Represent Lincoln at industry conferences
* Support new business sales/growth efforts
Business Acumen
* Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends in the retirement space
* Directs and develops business on behalf of Lincoln in a manner that supports a positive company image, in compliance with all required rules and regulations and ethical in all considerations
* Identifies, recommends and implements process improvements that reduce workloads or improve quality
* Collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure the proper processing of all sold products from time of sale to issuance
* Educates external stakeholders regarding Lincoln products, guidelines for eligibility, and the service model
* Support regional expense budget target
* Participate in Retirement Plan Services strategic initiatives
* Interacts with management in support of strategic Retirement Plan Services business planning/growth
* Pursue professional designations
Education
* 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelors)_Minimum Required in Business
Certification
* FINRA S6, S63, Life, Health, & Variable within 120 days
Experience
* 3 - 5+ Years experience in relationship management that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position
