DESCRIPTION
Are you passionate about helping people make good security decisions? Do you want to do your work thing, while keeping Amazon resources safe? Do you like creative problem solving, especially around solutions to problems that weve all lived with and taken for granted for so long, that a genuinely good solution feels like a shock of cold water?
Each day, hundreds of thousands of customers make billions of actions worldwide on our cloud. They harness the power of Amazon Web Services (AWS) to enable innovative applications, websites, and businesses. The AWS Security team owns security for all of the services offered by AWS, including EC2, S3, and more.
Access Review raises the bar in information security by helping customers maintain the principle of least privilege (PoLP). Access Review allows resource owners to enforce this principle by asking them to review access grants on their resources every quarter. We also own Access Insights, a product that helps resource owners and their managers shine a light on their permissions, understanding their resource access patterns in depth, and with additional context beyond who granted what, and when.
Our team is looking for highly intelligent software engineering professionals to join us and help us continue to raise the security bar for cloud computing. You should be somebody who enjoys working on complex system software, is customer-obsessed, and feels strongly about delivering results. We do not desire to simply produce good software here at AWS Security... we want to produce disruptive, history changing innovations. You do not need a security background but you should be passionate about solving challenges in innovative ways.
Successful candidates for this position will have strong software engineering fundamentals (object-oriented design, algorithms and data structures) and a grasp of advanced systems concepts and design. You need to enjoy working closely with your peers in a group of very talented engineers. You must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, be self-driven and deliver high quality results in a fast paced environment.
You'll be part of a world-class team in a fast-paced environment that has the entrepreneurial feel of a start-up. You'll have the opportunity to operate and engineer systems on a massive scale, and to gain top-notch experience in cloud computing. You'll be surrounded by people who are smart, passionate about cloud computing, security, and believe that world class service is critical to customer success. You need to enjoy working closely with your peers in a group of very talented engineers. Come build the future of the cloud with us!
