Sumner Regional Medical Center's 12-month Nurse Residency Program is designed to support and prepare new graduate nurses to be successful in the hospital environment. The program integrates unit orientation, observations, hands-on and classroom training with clinical experts, and enhanced mentorships.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education
Associates degree in Nursing or RN Diploma - Required

Minimum Education
Bachelors degree in Nursing - Preferred

Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Computer proficiency required

Required Skills
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) (American Heart Association) - Required upon hire
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (American Heart Association) - Required within 12 months of hire

Required Skills
Licenses: State of Tennessee or Multi-State Registered Nurse licensure - Required
