The Reconnaissance Missions Systems (RMS) Sector BD team is currently seeking a proactive, detailed-oriented, highly self-motivated Business Development professional with a proven record of successfully bringing products, systems, and capabilities from conceptualization to market, for our Europe/NATO Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) pursuit team. This Senior BD Manager position will serve as a leader for the Sector's NATO and European airborne ISR growth campaign. The Senior BD Manager will be a key member of the business development team focused on identifying and winning new airborne ISR-related business within the international Intelligence Community (IC) and associated European Minister of Defense (MoD) customers.
This individual is directly responsible for establishing and maintaining a pipeline of new business opportunities from lead generation, opportunity identification, maturation and shaping through capture and proposal submission that will deliver significant top and bottom line growth for L3Harris Technologies RMS Sector. A successful candidate should have BD or capture experience in the international defense market, preferably Europe/NATO. The ideal candidate should have a fundamental understanding Airborne ISR including ELINT and COMINT sensor and enterprise processing, exploitation and dissemination (PED) technologies. Must have the ability to work with the technical teams to develop, plan, manage and deliver complex solutions for the multi domain environment. The successful candidate should be an agile, innovative thinker and executor able to move from a strategic level to the implementation level in interactions with multiple audiences. This person shall be an excellent communicator with the ability to clearly communicate and present information across all levels of the organization both internally and externally.
Duties include, but are not limited to, development and implementation of country business plans, identification and implementation of marketing activities, and adherence to compliance, regulatory requirements and strong business ethics.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develops and implements regional business plans to consistently achieve and exceed sales targets for the European and NATO Region.
* Develops and maintains customer intimacy by having a thorough understanding of the customer organizations, knowing how they decide upon and buy solutions within our solution set and building relationships across the customer organization.
* Work with L3Harris trade compliance and US government personnel to shape export strategy and ensure compliance.
* Collaborate with counterparts from the other regions, corporate assets both regionally and globally and the extended teams in L3Harris to achieve goals and growth objectives.
* Lead with vision and radiate a can do team spirit. Apply conflict resolution where required, facilitate change and solve problems in the best interest of the company.
* Responsible for providing guidance to marketing team to prioritize country and regional market needs. Ensure professional effective launching of extension products.
* Develops key relationships with industry/market thought leaders, organizations, and institutions across the region.
* Assist with the efforts required for any regional events and/or marketing initiative
* Work with the indirect teams (CDR's) to ensure successful pursuit compliance with all US Government and Corporate guidelines.
* Ensure accurate sales forecasts each month/quarter as well as other information as required for executive leadership.
* Promote L3Harris capabilities, applications data sheets and technical information to target customers in the specific market.
* Responsible for keeping the International Business Development teams informed of all sales related activity, market trends, highlights and competitor activity within the region.
* Position will be based in Greenville, Texas.
Qualification Requirements:
Bachelor Degree with a minimum of twelve (12) years of applicable experience required. Degree in Engineering, Technical, or related field strongly desired. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
* Minimum of five years' experience in international business development and/or capture efforts within a multinational company in the defense industry
* Experience with business development and/or capture efforts for the intelligence community, DoD, and government clients
* Proven experience working large pursuits that include identifying opportunities, establishing teams, identifying and managing risk, organizing technical and marketing resources, and preparing technical and cost proposals
* Thorough understanding of ITAR, FCPA, UKABA and other standards as required for international defense sales
* Familiar with DCS, FMS, FMF and other procurement processes
* Proven experience with developing and maintaining effective internal and external business relationships with clients and industry partners
* Expertise in all aspects of the business development life cycle from identification of new opportunities through capture, proposal development, and new program start
* Ability to lead teams and stakeholders throughout the capture process
* Network of existing relationships with large and small businesses in Europe/NATO is preferred
* Ability to form partnerships with industry and academia
* Strong selling, negotiation and communications skills

Position requires an active DoD Secret Security Clearance and the ability to maintain the stated clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship. Position also requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Top Secret Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
