Job Description:
You will be working with a team to implement and test Cybersecurity configuration standards in hardware. You will be validating cybersecurity compliance in various hardware and software platforms. Individual responsibilities include identifying the information protection needs for systems and networks, review and assist design engineers in overarching system design with a focus on Cybersecurity, and interact with customers and authorization officials to define and achieve required Cybersecurity objectives.
Essential Functions:
* Hardening Linux and Windows based operating systems
* Hardening Routers and Switches
* Develop Cybersecurity documentation
* Familiarity with the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
* Security Engineering with accreditation experience
* Analyzing system specifications and translating to cybersecurity requirements.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor of Science degree in a technical field is desired plus least four yrs experience in the field of System Security.
* Experience with Linux and Windows Operating Environments; command line and GUI.
* Experience with Group Policy, TCP/IP, routing protocols, Cisco IOS, Routers and switches, Python or Powershell scripting.
* Certifications : Security+ certified or must be certified within 6 months of starting
Preferred Additional Skills:
* MPLS experience
* Systems integration experience
* Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet and maintain eligibility requirements for access to DoD information. Active security clearance highly desirable.
* Familiarity with Platform Information Technology (PIT)
* Travel may be required 20% of the time
