Entry-level professional with broad theoretical job knowledge. Works under general direction and guidance within standard processes for non-routine tasks. Communicates with contacts in own team to explain and interpret information. Contributes to systems and processes changes in work routines. Essential Functions:
* Handle incoming and outgoing classified and unclassified visit requests via DISS/ JPAS and other approved channels.
* This position requires the candidate to be onsite during working days to handle visitor accessing the facility.
* Support the Security Department in company badging system, card readers and badge procedures for employees and visitors.
* Back up for new hire and annual security briefings for cleared and un-cleared personnel.
* Log all foreign travel and provide foreign travel briefings and debriefings.
* Assist in semi-annual security self-inspections.
* Assist employees in acquiring personal security clearance, and reinvestigations via the e-QIP systems. Maintain security clearance files.
* Assist in updating the company Business Continuity Plan (BCP), Crisis Management Plan (CMP) and Proprietary Protection Plans.
* May perform other duties as assigned, including work in other functional areas to cover absences or relief, to equalize peak work periods or otherwise to balance the workload.
Education and Experience:
* Requires broad theoretical job knowledge typically obtained through higher education. Bachelor's Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associate's Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience to include: processing/issuing sub DD254's, maintaining PSMNet in JPAS, clearance verification, initial and PR clearance initiations, submitting/receiving visit requests via JPAS, visitor control, etc.
* Knowledge of NISPOM, DoDM 5200.07 V1-4, DoDI 5200.01 V1-4, DoDD 5205.02E and other applicable government security directives associated with sensitive security programs.
Certificates and Licenses Required:
* Valid state driver's license.
* Secret Clearance.
* Minimum Secret clearance required; ability to obtain TS/SCI with polygraph if needed.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* Ability to speak well; have good communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interface with both technical and non-technical personnel; and effective human relations skills are essential.
* Ability to develop, administer and communicate company's Human Resources and Security policies and standards, internally and externally.
* Attention to detail is critical in this role.
* Ability to use proper English spelling, grammar and legible office and business writing skills. Ability to understand and evaluate computer hardware/software, materials, supplies and equipment as related to the company's assembly or production needs.
* Excellent researching skills for identifying and hiring candidate personnel and participation in socio-economic programs.
* Good computer skills with working knowledge of software programs utilized by the company; ability to comprehend new software applications.
* Strong oral communication skills for contact with co-workers, contractors, customers and prime contractors. Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, logically and coherently; ability to effectively present information to top management.
