Position Title: Analyst Schedule Planning

Position Summary

The Analyst works as part of the Schedule Planning Team responsible for the build-out of the airlines schedules. The Analyst ensures that all schedules align to meet the companys operating metrics.

Essential Responsibilities

Maintains JetBlues cadenced schedule process

Generates schedule proposals to all Operating departments to ensure final monthly schedules align with operating constraints, cost targets, fleet plan, staffing plans and meets the companys operating metrics

Works closely with the Route Planning team reviewing schedule patterns and adjusting schedules to align with anticipated passenger demand and P&L performance in new and existing markets

Coordinates functions of the Scheduling Team with the functions of other departments internal and external to the Planning Department to ensure that the needs and accomplishments of the department embrace the vision of the Company

Creates ad-hoc schedule scenarios to support Commercial and Operational projects and analysis

Works with all operating departments to help them fully understand the schedule and put it to action

Other duties may include supporting other commercial teams with ad-hoc planning requests and producing daily/weekly/monthly reports

Processes weekly and ad-hoc schedule changes in SabreSonic RES

Maintains schedule change tables and publication settings in SabreSonic RES and Sabre Schedule Manager

Responsible for the weekly Codeshare processing and supports new partnership launches through testing and set-up

Distributes accurate JetBlue publication schedules to external sources (OAG/Innovata) and internal JetBlue departments

Maintains and files JetBlue MCTs (Minimum Connect Times)

Assists Reservations department with schedule change related items

Assists IT department with any schedule related testing

Other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Aviation related field, Finance, Economics, Business, Statistics, Hospitality, Engineering, Logistics, Computer studies, or a related discipline

One (1) year of analytical experience

Understanding of airline operations and planning as it relates to the development of the schedule

Ability to effectively manage numerous schedules and resolve scheduling issues independently under tight deadlines on an ongoing basis

Strong written and verbal communication ability

Demonstrate analytical and planning skills through an onsite work sample

Pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test

Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

One (1) year of airline planning and/or scheduling experience

Highly proficient with Microsoft Office suite especially Excel and PowerPoint

Past experience with Sabre AirVision suite and OASIS

Ability to work well with all levels of leadership

Strong attention to detail

Crewmember Expectations:

Regular attendance and punctuality

Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice

Well-groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance

When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

Promote JetBlues 1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlues Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards
