The maintenance technician II is responsible for working on the Converyor Side, providing support in general maintenance, preventative maintenance, and the upkeep of the entire service center. Responsibilities include maintaining all facility and ground equipment through preventative maintenance schedules while providing additional support to the maintenance department is required.

Sunday-Thursday 10:00pm-6:30am. Employee health is our 1 priority, so we are providing on-site social distancing, PPE and sanitizing stations.

* *Troubleshoot and repair basic electro-mechanical problems (i.e. belt tracking, sensors, chain alignment and tension, replace/repair gear boxes/motors, electrical overloads, blown fuses, etc) as well as analyze and repair basic system/equipment malfunctions.
* *Ensure all assigned equipment is fully operational at beginning of shift which includes checking for damage and reporting all damages or malfunctions to supervisor immediately.
* *Operate lift trucks, maintenance equipment, grounds equipment, and company vehicles.
* *Perform extensive preventative maintenance procedures including conducting daily preventative maintenance inspections.
* *Performs routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refers defects or needed repairs to the supervisor; cleans equipment.
* *Properly follows company and OSHA safety procedures.
* Ability to work in a fast paced environment
* Ability to read, write, conduct business related mathematics and analyze data as required.
* Brings problems to the attention of the supervisor, manager, safety director or HR manager.
* Follows daily procedures and protocols as set forth in job orientations and trainings.
* All other duties as assigned



EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

* Minimum of two years maintenance/mechanical/ repair experience or vocational diploma in related areas.
* Experience in fork-lift/electric cart repair, knowledge of safety regulations and PC knowledge advantageous. However, the Maintenance Technician I - Machine Repair must posses basic math skills, language skills and reasoning ability in order to fulfill position requirements.

Physical Fitness

The Maintenance Technician II must have physical strength and be able to perform the physical tasks of the position. Pursuant to OSHA code:29CFR 1910.66 I (f), and Harness manufacturer guidelines, all candidates for any equipment operator position will have to prove their weight including tools does not exceed 300 lbs. This is a safety issue, no employee over that weight stipulation is safe either by use of their harness, or at elevations of 6 feet or higher. Employees will have their harness inspected every three months and their weight shall be checked yearly, or as dictated by company policy. This position works in a warehouse environment.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job with or without accommodation.

* Required to stand (stationary position) during scheduled hours. Hours usually include weekends, evenings and holidays in conjunction with labor regulations.
* Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
* While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to communicate using various methods.
* Kneeling, stooping, using stairs, reaching, pulling and moving weights of 5 - 50 pounds constantly and 50-100lbs frequently.
* Ability to move 50-100lbs at least 25 feet in distance.
* Must be comfortable ambulating 30-40 feet in the air
* Must be within the height/weight guidelines provided by equipment manufacturer to safely operate equipment and able to certify and operate all equipment.
* Based on business necessity associates may be required to temporarily work in other locations that require different physical demands.
