The Manufacturing/Process Engineer I for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics takes ownership of determining the optimal manufacturing methods and process. This includes driving continuous improvement to product cost, quality, and performance by using technical experience and judgment to tackle technical problems. This position is part of the manufacturing engineer team and will be located in Miami, FL

Our work delivers both instruments and reagents to customers in hospital and laboratory environments, supporting patient health. If you thrive in a technical, fast paced role and want to work to build a world-class engineering organizationread on.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

* Solve technical issues and delays in production by driving to root cause.

* Continuously improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layouts.

* Develop, enhance, implement and maintain manufacturing methods, techniques, processes, and tooling on fabricated parts, components, subassemblies and final products

* Coordinate the implementation of process changes and product enhancements/revisions to ensure smooth transition to production floor ensuring all quality and validation requirements are met.

* Develop leadership skills by participating in and leading Kaizen and process improvements events using the Danaher Business System (DBS) tools.

* Provide training to manufacturing associates in new and existing processes.

* Design, install, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment. Minimize equipment downtime by coordinating maintenance and repair services and preventative maintenance.

Requirements:

* Bachelors degree in field with 0-2 years experience (Engineering degrees in mechanical, electrical, and industrial preferred)

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

* Regulated industries (e.g. FDA, ISO)
