Description
The Senior Data Governance Analyst specializes in managing the information flow for the bank, including the integrity, efficiency and availability of data. The data governance analyst is responsible for:
* Developing and implementing data standards
* Guaranteeing metadata is captured correctly
* Monthly maintenance of Collibra process and enhancements as required
* Creating methods for monitoring and reporting of data
* Creating and maintaining common data dictionaries, tools and methods that support data standards.
The data governance analyst will analyze and oversee strategies designed to enhance data reliability and minimize redundancies. They will work closely with information technology personnel to develop data quality standards. The data governance analyst will create key performance indicators and supply colleagues and organizational management with performance results. They may also assist with data monitoring and provide organizational management with guidance on streamlining data management.
The Senior Data Governance Analyst will be responsible for:
* Acting as a single point of contact for interactions between the Lines of Business, Information Management and Data Governance initiatives.
* Working directly with the Business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify existing and/or document new processes and controls that support Data Governance policies and procedures; ensuring results are communicated and implemented.
* Providing support to data stewards in fulfilling Data Governance initiatives across the enterprise.
* Developing working relationships with the Lines of Businesses, Technology and Audit functions in order to work collaboratively to respond to strategic needs.
* Coordinating Data Governance activities across the enterprise.
* Supporting assigned Data Governance project activities to ensure tasks are documented, appropriately assigned and the desired deliverables are implemented.
Qualifications
Experience and Skills:
* 5 years of experience in a Data Governance, Data Management or Data Services role
* 3 years acting as a business analyst, defining business requirements and data requirements
* Extensive knowledge with Data Governance Platforms (e.g. Collibra, ASG Rochade, Talend, Informatica), as well as ETL, Data integration, and Data Architecture
* Functional experience in Data Dictionary/Data Glossary implementation, data requirements capture and implementing technical data lineage
* Understanding of implementing data governance policies, procedures and controls. Including, participation in audit and RCSA activities and monitor outcomes to existing risks/controls/control assessment method.
* Excellent communication skills, analytical ability, strong judgment and management skills
* Knowledge of banking products and operations, regulatory requirements, and key processes, controls and exposure
Education and Certifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other analytical field
