The Technology Control team is responsible for partnering with their relevant business group to develop and maintain a strong control environment leading to the early identification and sustainable mitigation of operational risk. In partnership with key stakeholders, provides strategic leadership for business-specific programs, processes and controls and consults on end to end issue management. Directs and controls strategy and execution of activities associated with the Business Control for a business group or functional area with significant risk and complexity. Ensures appropriate adaptation strategies and support to the business for the design of business-specific risk controls/processes and development of remediation plans to address any control weaknesses or gaps and identifies opportunities for enhancements. Ensures that business control issues are proactively identified and addressed appropriately, escalating where necessary. Provides leadership support for the end-to-end execution of the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), including control deficiencies and resolutions, to reduce financial loss, regulatory exposure, and reputational risk. Consults with Front Line management to ensure businesses adhere to policy requirements. Oversees programs or initiatives related to a line of business and/or an Enterprise strategy with considerable impact across the Enterprise and externally. Champion a strong risk management culture by acting as a trusted advisor to the business regarding implementation of key risk management programs into the standard operating framework of the business. Key interface and fosters relationships with corporate, business heads, Corporate Risk, Legal, Audit, regulators, and industry partners regarding risk management of business-specific risk programs. Manages a team that could consist of Sr Managers, Managers and/or Sr Officers from cross-functional teams in accomplishing group strategic priorities.

This Director role leads a team that supports the CIO team for Commercial Banking and Corporate & Investment Banking businesses in one or more of the following areas: Treasury and Payments, Capital Markets Services, Commercial Banking, Wholesale Digital Customer Experience, Strategic Services & Analytics, Architecture and Platform Technology. This role will provide leadership to support the designated CIO teams in meeting all requirements of the companys risk framework, ensuring that CCIBT is effectively managing risks associated with technology activities, current and emerging risk identification, measurement, assessment, control, mitigation, monitoring and reporting. This position will work regularly with Wells Fargo Technology and Technology Control teams, Front Line Business Risk and Controls teams, Second Line and Third Line functions to ensure a strong control environment exists for compliance with technology-applicable policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Required Qualifications
* 10+ years of experience in risk management (includes compliance, financial crimes, operational risk, audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, IT systems security, business process management) or 10+ years of financial services industry experience, of which 7+ years must include direct experience in risk management
* 7+ years of management experience

They will also have a demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong credible relationships with key stakeholder groups.
Demonstrated leadership skills and strategic ability to execute operational risk management programs
Ability to work under pressure and against deadlines
Experience creating Executive Reporting pulling from a number of Systems of Record to create a Aggregate Risk Review
Experience managing information technology oversight programs that align to a Technology Business function (i.e. commercial, infrastructure, capital markets and payments,) with a preference to CCIBT
Strong ability and experience working with and collaborating with leaders and team members at all levels and across functional lines.
Demonstrated ability to effectively drive and lead organizational change.
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of strategic elements of financial, operational, technical and regulatory environments across a complex global services environment
Ability to fluently articulate business strategy and operations; translating organizational strategies into clear objectives and business action
Demonstrated experience in building, leading, developing and retaining a team of managers, strong technical experts and high performing professionals in geographically disbursed environments
Banking experience (including the products, operations, and analytics) with strong knowledge of the overall financial services industry and regulatory environment

Job Expectations
* Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
