Job Summary (Purpose):

The Sitecore Architect will play a major role in the growth of our digital platforms at Amerigas. Responsibilities include providing technical direction, supporting custom development needs, developing integrations, and coordinating activities over multiple resources both internally and with partners. Additionally, this individual is responsible for implementing best practices and standard software architecture patterns. He/she must keep abreast of the latest Sitecore CMS developments and trends including personalization, responsive design, application customization and 3rd party integration.

This is an architect position that collaborates with content managers, product owners, front and back-end developers, and Infrastructure to lead digital transformation.

* Strong development background, extensive architecture experience, and technical leadership qualifications
* Front end development on Sitecore v9.3 and directing work of other Sitecore developers.
* Collaborative leader who can work with program/product managers to achieve business objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Translate business requirements into well-architected solutions that best leverage the Sitecore platform
* Lead technical design sessions; architect and document technical solutions that are aligned with client business objectives
* Manage the technical delivery of custom development, integrations, and data migration elements of a Sitecore implementation
* Conduct code reviews for ongoing projects to ensure that code quality is at the highest level possible and appropriate design patterns are being used
* Engages others throughout solution delivery to provide design acceptance, understand and plan for infrastructural impacts, plan for and validate functional and non-functional requirements, ensure compliance with secure development standards and negotiate security trade-offs, and provide technical mentoring on coding techniques, methods and standards.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

* Knowledge of full lifecycle SDLC.
* Experienced in Sitecore CMS architecture and design with very strong development skills in .NET, Java Script, CSS.
* Expert in Sitecore Administration and Sitecore Development.
* Flexible enough to work on Sitecore versions 9.x or 10.x platforms.
* Highly organized with an ability to work in a fast-paced, multi stakeholder environment and manage multiple priorities.
* Must be highly motivated with the ability to work on multiple initiatives with a high degree of complexity.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, in order to discuss, influence, and deliver technical concepts easily and efficiently to their team and business stakeholders; Also, able to fill in as a technical evangelist when needed.
* Ability to help production support teams to troubleshoot production issues if needed.

Education & Experience Required:

* BE or BS Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field preferred.
* 5+ years of Web Content Management System experience
* Minimum of 5 years of .NET experience
* Strong background in design and development of enterprise systems as part of a complete software product lifecycle
* Experience in distributed application development using SCRUM management tools and strategies with such as VSO and JIRA.
