Hours: 2nd shift (hours can be flexible for pm shift and as early as 11 am start) 4 x 10 (Tuesday -Friday) or 5 x 8 option

About the role

* Responsible for the shipping, receiving and movement of materials.

Your responsibilities include:

* Candidate will be responsible for the inspection of raw materials, understanding and adhering to pertinent procedures.
* Make acceptance or rejection decisions based on established procedures
* Performs visual and dimensional measurements of complex purchased components such as Instron, Optiv, Keyence, Smart scope and other precison measurement equipment.
* Candidate will use inspection devices such as force gauges, pin gauges, ring gauges, micrometers, calipers, torque gauges, pressure gauges, rules
* Performs mostly non-routine assignments, requiring basic interpretation of established procedures. Assignments require broad judgment in troubleshooting proven processes as well as the ability to suggest alternatives.
* Creates records compliant to inspection documents and GDP
* Completes special inspection requests for engineering
* Responsible for handling material in a manner to prevent damage, degradation, and in fitness for use.
* Responsible for verifying quantities of materials received against bills of lading.
* Must comply with requirements of ISO 14001 and BSC Environmental, Health and Safety standards and follow procedures and instructions related to these standards.

What we're looking for:

Basic Qualifications:

High School or equivalent and 2 years of related experience with certification in assigned area preferred.
