Job Description

Summary:

This position is responsible for maintaining high production, quality, and yields while ensuring the safest working environment possible. This position requires an essential understanding and control of the production process, accurate record keeping, and general line maintenance and staffing.

Duties/Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform somewhat identical and related tasks or activities.

Check daily production orders to ensure fulfillment of customer orders.

Ensure every position is filled before start-up of production line.

Ensure all machinery is performing to the highest standard possible.

Ensure all workstations have passed USDA inspection.

Promote safety daily as well as through monthly safety meetings.

Ensure accurate shipments, rotation of inventory, and proper coding of products.

Responsible for knowing and communicating company benefits and compensation policies to Team Members, providing encouragement to Team Members in order to build the best team possible, and the critical ability to perform the human relations functions such as training, retaining, and counseling on personal and professional problems.

Oversee various processing operations and working with other supervisors in solving problems.

Keep records of reworked or returned product, provide continuous education on the importance of quality.

Other responsibilities as assigned.

Basic computer skills helpful.
Must have strong communication skills.

Requirements:

Resume is required: Resume must contain contact information, related work experience/history, skills and educational information

Must have 1+ years work experience in Fresh Meats beef or pork processing.

High school diploma: education beyond high school including special training, vocational school and/or college courses is preferred.
Disciplines within the most recent 12 months from application date will be reviewed. Team member will not be considered if they have any one of the following disciplines on record:

Failure to get along with co-workers at any stage.

Safety violation at written warning suspension stage.

Work (job) performance at written warning suspension stage.

Code of Conduct at Written Warning suspension stage.

An applicant will NOT be considered for this position if there are currently (on application date) more than 5.5 points of absenteeism on their record.

Preference given to internal qualified candidates currently employed at this facility followed by candidates from other Tyson facilities then external candidates.
