Job Summary:
The Walt Disney Company, Direct-to-Consumer & International (DTCI) segment is seeking a Ticker/Squeeze Operator to join their team in The Woodlands, TX. The position is responsible for operating and updating the ticker program for networks administered by FNC-Woodlands. Duties include researching news information and game highlights for network tickers; coordinating with Master Control in the execution of tickers; administering other on-air graphics.
Responsibilities:
* Updating ticker program with news and game notes
* Loading network identifier graphics
* Creating informational and emergency crawls
* Work closely with other operators in an open environment
* Collaborate with Master Control department to coordinate ticker and graphic insertion
Basic Qualifications:
* Strong general knowledge of sports with a special emphasis on professional and college football, baseball, basketball, and hockey
* Previous work experience in a business professional environment
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Outstanding organizational and project management skills
* Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments and work in a busy, often fast-paced environment
* Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Required Education
* Bachelors degree in Science, Arts, Mass Communications, Radio, Television or equivalent work experience is highly preferred
