Company
Staples has a history of innovation creating the Office Superstore category 30 years ago, launching eCommerce in 1998 as an early pioneer, and expanding to become the leader in powering the workplace. While the company has historically been known as a leading retailer, it has evolved into so much more, with its B2B delivery operations now making up more than half of the overall business, and featuring solutions & services such as managed printing, facilities & breakroom, technology solutions and workplace design.
Formerly a public S&P 500 company, Staples was acquired in 2017 by Sycamore Partners, who have transformed companies like Belk, Nine West, Stuart Weitzman, and Talbots. As a private company, Staples is accelerating its transformation and long-term strategy. This includes creating new businesses, redesigning our CX, and modernizing our technology stack - as well as the way we work, moving to a more agile environment. The future of Staples, Inc. will be digitally driven, with the Digital Business team leading the way as we look to create unique online experiences for businesses with curated products and services, showcasing our thought-leadership in workplace solutions as we help them along their journey to build a better company.
