As a Construction Technology Specialist you will be THE consultative and value-added technical support and sales partner to the largest Jobsites, Contractors and Trade Associations within the region. You will lead and orchestrate the local and regional efforts to forge value added and service-oriented relationships in order to generate a preference for Stanley Black and Decker technology products and services.

This role will be responsible for working directly with Trade Contractors to drive awareness, conviction, conversion, and loyalty by understanding a broad range of SBD technology products and their applications. You will effectively determine what products best fits the needs of the Contractor from a construction technology standpoint while meeting regional sales growth targets.

What You Will Be Doing

Customer Engagement

* Identifies, evaluates, and pursues business opportunities with current and potential customers through the use of regional data analytics and commercial construction tracking across the Southeast region.

* Drive Contractor engagement through strategic planning sessions, jobsite calls, office calls and involvement with product development and local SBD market teams
* Responsible for maintaining close relationships with existing users as well as key potential customers.
* Responsible for customer implementation and ongoing field training and support of technology products such as, but not limited to, Site Manager, Asset Tracking etc
* Meet with customers collaboratively with core product sales representing technical product solutions
* Responsible for meeting target metrics and standards for activity, such as number of calls, new product introductions, training events and product demonstrations

* Collaborate with Local Market Teams to ensure proper follow up on leads to produce sales growth

Systems Proficiency

* Maintain and use SalesForce.com as a CRM and Planning tool. Communicate successes and failures in a timely fashion to develop a more streamlined process.

Leadership & Development

* Be the Technology Expert within the assigned Region : Teach and mentor your local market teams on the needs of the Contractors within your assigned Specialty, what digital products they use, what product features are critical to their buying decision, how they execute the purchasing process (central and facility), and how to expand their engagement across all available SBD Brands.

What You Bring To The SBD Team

* Bachelors Degree required (Engineering, Technology or related field preferred)

* Associates degree with equivalent practical experience will be considered
* Minimum of 3 - 5 years' experience in product support field
* Solid mechanical and technology skillset with troubleshooting experience
* Commercial Jobsite and Construction Knowledge preferred.
* Capability to meld empathy with a rock-hard determination to achieve outstanding results.

* Must have the ability to build relationships and work effectively with customers and internal teams
* Exhibit a thorough knowledge of managing and executing a budget for your region to stay within the developed forecast and allocation.
* Proficient computer skills including MS Office Suite, Salesforce/CRM software and use of a smartphone
* Proven track record delivering positive results with a strong desire to win are a must.
* Demonstrate time management skills, ability to set priorities and self-motivation is required
