Job Description

The Advanced Missions Solutions (AMS) Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, and winning new business with special emphasis on space protection and space domain awareness.

The capabilities within Advanced Mission Solutions consist of Space Battle Management Command and Control (BMC2) Systems, Space Domain Awareness (SDA), Satellite Constellation Mission Planning & TT&C, and Space Protection Operations & Sustainment

The AMS Sr. BD Manager will also be responsible and instrumental in leading or co-leading Raytheon Space Protection strategies and collaborating across business areas to advance AMS technologies.

The Sr. BD Manager is responsible for annual bookings in excess of $250M with heavy emphasis on competitive opportunities. The Sr. BD Manager is responsible for market analysis, strategy development, managing the execution of the strategy, and monitoring progress toward organizational objectives. This Sr. BD Manager will provide analysis and strategic leadership enabling the organization to understand important quantitative and qualitative factors in the development of business and portfolio analysis, key customer and competitor needs, and other overall market and technical environment analysis.

The Sr. BD Manager is also responsible for the management of capture and proposal activities including timely management gate reviews, process compliance and transition to the program execution team. The Sr. BD Manager drives teaming decisions, pricing and win strategies. The Sr. BD Manager is directly responsible for planning, management, and oversight of New Business Investment funding, and for the development of a pipeline of new opportunities.

The Sr. BD Manager reports to the Director of BD and will partner with the Advanced Mission Solutions Business Area Director to achieve growth and profit objectives.

Required Qualifications:
* Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in strategic planning or business development, or equivalent military leadership experience.
* Previous experience on SAP programs within the Space Protection market
* Understanding of space domain awareness and tactical space control systems
* Understanding of DoD SSA/SDA systems, architectures and CONOPS
* Experience with the Combined Space Operation Center (C-SPOC), the National Space Defense Center (NSDC), or other tactical space control systems
* Demonstrated knowledge of the space protection market contractors and competitive landscape

Desired Skills and Experiences:
* Senior level military, government or related corporate business experience
* Acquisition experience with Air Force Space Command or Intel Community
* Experience with Space and Missile Center (SMC) / Special Programs (SP)

Education:
* Bachelors degree in Business Management, Engineering or other related field

* Active TS/SCI clearance required
