Principal Global Investors is looking for an experienced Data Engineer to work in our Customer Content Management team who has a passion for transforming large scale data into a platform for business users and ultimately, customers! This role is great mix of combining programming and data in order to solve strategic business solutions.

Here are some examples of the kinds of things you'll do:

n

* Work with teammates to build technical solutions that are reusable, scalable, fast, and maintainable through large datasets, both clean and un-clean.n
* Expanding and optimizing data and data pipeline architecturen
* Assist to design, implement and maintain investment product datasets in alignment with data and analytics vision and strategy.n
* Support critical, ongoing operations while also driving new strategic solutions.n
* Development and deployment of robust and scalable data platforms for sophisticated data processing and downstream consumption.n
* This team is a globally dispersed team, so strong communication skills and ability to flex hours when needed will be important.nn

Qualificationsnn
* Bachelor's degree with a preference in a computer science, technology, engineering, or math related field or equivalent work experience plus 4+ years of experience with functional or object-oriented programmingn
* Database design (examples include: SQL, no-SQL, Postgres, JSON, file, data tagging, etc.)n
* Operational and Enterprise data, data lakes, reporting data marts or servicesn
* Experience working in a DevOps environmentn
* Cloud platforms (we use AWS)nn
