Consumer Device Engineer (Security)

Join the Facebook Reality Labs security team as a Consumer Device Engineer and help us design and build world class security controls into class leading VR devices! In this role, you will exercise a combination of domain knowledge, project management, and engineering skills to help design and validate security solutions that keep our users and business safe.

Consumer Device Engineer (Security) Responsibilities

* Evaluate and prioritize vulnerabilities found internally and reported externally

* Drive effort to fix vulnerabilities and regressions across the organization through communication and technical solutions

* Design systems that enhance the security of Oculus products and infrastructure

* Work with cross functional teams to prioritize security engineering effort

* Recommend and help scale adoption of processes to enhance security of Oculus products and infrastructure

Minimum Qualifications

* Bachelors in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience

* Experience with common security vulnerabilities on web apps and mobile apps

* Familiarity with device, app, and web security concepts

Preferred Qualifications

* 3+ years of security industry experience

* Security patents, technical security conference presentations or other indicators of industry grade security expertise

* 3+ years of industry grade code review experience

* Android and/or Linux experience

* Secure manufacturing systems experience

* Vulnerability Management experience

* Experience authoring and managing key management systems

* Familiarity with ARM based embedded systems

* Python and Shell script familiarity

* Experience evaluating and verifying security systems via manual and automated testing

* Experience coding in Bash, Python, PHP and C/C++
