About the Role

The position will provide advice and legal support for commercial, privacy, labor, corporate, and compliance matters related to Harman's Lifestyle Division with focus on the subdivision: Professional Solutions; and partner with Harman's in-house legal team to deliver outstanding legal counsel to the division's global clients in Sales, Product, R&D;, Operations, etc.
What You Will Do

* Provide general legal advice and guidance to management on key initiatives and strategic Lifestyle activities
* Draft, review and negotiate master services agreements, statements of work, distribution agreements, vendor agreements, confidentiality agreements, consultant agreements, and license agreements, including those related to government procurement, dealer/distribution agreements, and technology licensing and supplier agreements, and real estate transactions
* Advise division clients on various compliance issues related to FCPA, U.S. export controls, government contracting regulations, California Prop. 65, CCPA, etc.
* Provide guidance to Human Resources on employment-related legal matters, including restructurings.
* Assist in dispute resolution for commercial matters, ranging from collections, settlement agreements to ligation.
* Provide advice on antitrust-related matters, including minimum advertised pricing policies and selective distribution systems.
* Responsible for providing legal services and counsel to the divisional marketing team, including supporting endorsements, sponsorships, and online, print, social media, and broadcast matters.
* Manage external law firms and legal budget costs, where appropriate.
* Conduct company-wide contracts and legal risk training programs.

What You Need

* Minimum of 6-8 years' experience focusing on legal transactional matters.
* Law degree from a reputable law school.
* Member in good standing of the state bar of California; or Texas (as applicable).
* Must have in-house experience with a global company demonstrating strong commercial and transactional experience.
* Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to liaise with all business areas at all levels, including senior management.
* Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects, including the ability to prioritize and multi-task and keep everything going smoothly.
