We are seeking a Senior Digital Manager to join our Blue Buffalo consumer (Pet Parent) Engagement Team and report directly to the Digital Marketing Lead. This role will oversee the strategy, the business partnerships, and influence the technology solutions that drive our digital platforms. This role will orchestrate Blue Buffalo's digital communication strategies to increase consumer (Pet Parent) acquisition, engagement, and retention with the goal of increased monetization and achieving annual business targets
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
* Lead the Channel Digital Activation team in developing Blue Buffalo's digital experiences that deliver against planned objectives, including refining and prioritization of team activities and ensuring consistency and connectivity of efforts across channels.
* Develop the digital multi-channel strategy and roadmap to support CRM campaigns and digital marketing efforts, partnering closely with Brand, Experience and Performance Optimization teams to guide the execution of strategies and campaigns in in-market.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, as needed on the development of consumer (Pet Parent) programs and campaigns and the orchestration of campaign efforts and delivery and optimization across channels.
* Improve Blue Buffalo's digital channel effectiveness by leveraging performance insights to guide the development of existing and emerging channels; working cross-functionally to align on experience strategies and deliver on channel objectives.
* Identify and implement new channel features and functionality for digital experiences that delights consumers (Pet Parents) and drives results through web, email, mobile app, and social channels.
* Inform and guide digital product developments for Blue Buffalo's digital experiences working with MarTech & Experience Product teams.
* Partner across the organization to ensure content developed is delivering on consumer (Pet Parent) audience needs and is fit for channel; provide recommendations to design and content teams based on performance.
* Oversee and coordinate the deployment of CRM campaigns across channels, working cross-functionally.
* Work with Performance & Optimization team to actively monitor & report on channel effectiveness and execute on optimization recommendations.
* Serve as the subject matter expert for digital channel platforms and ensure that capabilities are best realized to deliver on consumer (Pet Parent) experience objectives.
* Champion insights gathered through Performance monitoring; providing routine communication and updates to senior leadership.
* Collaborate with Performance & Optimization team on the development and launch of testing & optimization strategies.
* Collaborate with Performance Optimization and CRM Marketing to ensure that communications are sent at the right time, with the right message, across the right channels based on signals, data, and consumer (Pet Parent) needs.
* In partnership with CRM Marketing, contribute to the development of CRM campaigns (pilots and ongoing campaigns).
* Manage day-to-day relationships with agency partners and internal teams to deliver compelling and effective digital content across channels.
* Strong knowledge of and experience with personalization across web, email, mobile app, and social. This includes working with our agency and analytic partners as well as internal teams to help guide them on our key personalization priorities and to set the pieces in motion for audience segmentation and content matching based on our consumer (Pet Parent) journeys.
* Experienced with end-to-end testing (A/B and multivariate), research, and analytics plans; working with partners to identify opportunities.
* Understand and monitor the competitive landscape for direct to consumer retention marketing.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field required
* Minimum 8-10 years' experience in digital marketing
* Experience building and managing consumer facing digital web, email, mobile app, and social experiences across all platforms and device types to achieve business results
* Experience with agency leadership and strong CPG team leadership
* Must be able to work in an environment with free-roaming companion pets
PREFERRED SKILLS, COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE:
* Demonstrated digital marketing expertise, including content management system ownership, search engine marketing, search engine optimization, and digital advertising
* Demonstrated experience at explaining and building support for digital and technical initiatives
* Positive attitude, leadership qualities, and flexible team-oriented approach to working with others
* Demonstrated partnership with cross-functional teams
* Ability to translate strategy into tactical executions
* Track record of close collaboration with creative partners to bring holistic ideas to life
* Must be able to work in an environment with free-roaming companion pets; pet enthusiast preferred
The location for this role is Wilton, CT. Please know the health and safety of our employees is always our primary concern.
