DISH Wireless is seeking an Engineer I with knowledge of current fiber optic networks, data traffic engineering technical skills to help build our 5G wireless network.

The Engineer I is an entry level position which will be responsible for performing various engineering activities supporting the design, development, and optimization of a wireless network. The Engineer I's activities may include long haul, backhaul, midhaul and fronthaul, for both lit and dark fiber per specified design rules and topology guidelines. This role presents an opportunity to implement and optimize the latest networking solutions. This role reports to the Manager- Wireless, Transport.

Responsibilities fall into the following general categories:

* Support transport/traffic portions of network projects such as cell build program, frequency carrier add growth, hardware conversions, fiber to cell initiatives, data centers, E911, and IP based technologies.
* Perform network integration for transport nodes and cell site routers across multi-vendor platforms.
* Work with management on direction for upcoming transport design programs.
* Actively contribute to improvements and participate in innovation, lessons learned, and knowledge sharing activities.
* Ensure that work meets all applicable engineering, financial, planning, and operational standards.

The successful Engineer I will have:

* Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering or related discipline
* 0-1 years Wireless Network or Network experience
* Basic understanding of wireless network architecture, infrastructure components, Ethernet, fiber optic transport and data traffic engineering
* Ability to manage multiple commitments simultaneously
* Excellent communication and follow-up skills a must
* Proven ability to work independently and escalate issues appropriately
* Ability to deliver in fast-paced high volume environment supporting aggressive targets
* Experience drawing system diagrams
* Some knowledge of deploying fiber Ethernet to cell site locations

Preferred qualifications:

* PathLoss 5, Google Earth, or Planet design experience is beneficial
* Excel, Word, Power Point, Google Suite experience is beneficial

Compensation: $48,600.00/Yr. - $67,300.00/Yr.
