Job Description
Through this virtual internship with Comcast's External Affairs team, you will support with the coordination and management of corporate External Affairs programs, including working with other departments to gather relevant data and coordinate many of the Companys advocacy efforts. This role will will be a combination of data input, research, event & program preparation, execution and follow up; it will include representing Comcast related to various projects and community efforts. The ideal candidate must be a team player and understand diplomacy.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in the field of public relations, community involvement and government affairs.
Although this internship reports to our office in Plymouth, MI, this particular role will be based in Detroit, MI.

Basic Qualifications:
* Must be between the ages of 18-24 to be eligible
* Must live in the city of Detroit
* Authorized to work in the United States of America
* Ability to work up to of 25 hours per week
* Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
* Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Affiliated with Grow Detroit's Young Talent
* Prior business exposure through internships, work experiences or campus organizations is preferred
* Strong interest in public relations, community involvement and government affairs
