This position is responsible for assisting the Production Supervisor in leading the day-to-day operation that drives plant performance in the areas of Safety, Quality, True Efficiency, training and maintaining positive employee relations while driving significant change.
The Team Lead serves as the lead person overseeing workflow and acts in a leadership capacity in the absence of the supervisor
Essential functions:
1. Achieve Safety, Quality, True Efficiency, Productivity, Cost, Delivery KPI objectives.2. Communicate and react to safety, quality, material, and mechanical & operational issues3. Production and Maintenance skills will be heavily relied on to improve plant performance and TPM initiatives.4. Provide active and positive leadership in the effort to drive a cultural shift.5. Communicate effectively, proactively and in cooperation with plant departments6. Work closely with the production supervisor to staff the shift in the event of absenteeism, unexpected workload and short staffing.7. Conduct necessary shift meetings.8. Understand, monitor and maintain compliance with PepsiCo, Federal, State and local policies such as FDA, OSHA, AIB, HSE and GMP.9. Review in-process paperwork on a daily basis.10. Coordinate sanitation (shift, daily and weekly), change-over and PM's.11. Complete special projects as assigned by the shift supervisor.12. Have a thorough and complete understanding of the TPM process, along with taking an active role.13. Complete all daily paperwork (SAP, MARS) timely and accurately

This position requires a high school diploma and 2+ years' experience in manufacturing. 2-year business/ technical related degree (desired but not required)).

Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment with a sense of urgency that drives ability to effectively deliver results

REQUIREMENTS:

Must be familiar with production processes and various equipment.
1. Demonstrated leadership abilities are a must in combination with the ability to coach/train other employees.
2. Strong oral and written communication skills, analytical and mechanical skills and the ability to conduct shift meetings.
3. Ability to function as a trainer and give presentations to a group.
4. Ability to communicate and influence at all levels of an organization, plant floor to Sr. Management.
5. Must be self-directed.
6. Ability to use and create Microsoft office suite
