Network Engineer, Mid
Key Role:
Support, monitor, test, and troubleshoot hardware and software problems pertaining to CANS/WANS/LANs/VLANs. Schedule and perform network maintenance, perform installation configuration and repairs, and support certification and accreditation activities. Support all LAN- based applications, routers, firewalls, VOIP and Ethernet technology.
Basic Qualifications:
* Experience in the planning, design, development, implementation, and technical support of multi-platform, multi-system networks to encompass diagnosing network performance shortcomings and designing and implementing performance improvements
* Experience with network installation, including high bandwidth data transfer
* Experience with administering CANS/WANS/LANS/VLANS, classified networks, protocols and network troubleshooting, and network visualization tools, including Visio
* Experience with leading teams on small to mid-size network engineering activities
* Ability to obtain a security clearance
* BA or BS degree in Telecommunications, CS, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems and 4+ years of experience with network engineering, MA or MS degree in Telecommunications, CS, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems and 2+ years of experience with network engineering, or 8+ years of experience with network engineering in lieu of a degree
* DoD 8570 compliance IAT Category Level I Certification
