Data Scientist

As a data scientist, you can turn these complex data sets into useful information to solve global challenges. We have an opportunity for you to use your leadership and analytical skills to improve warfighting capabilities. Youll work closely with your customer to understand their questions and needs, and then dig into their data-rich environment to find the pieces of their information puzzle. Youll mentor teammates, processing of structured, unstructured, and semi-structured data to derive patterns, trends, and correlations and enable entity extraction, disambiguation and other data-related support using appropriate data science tools and techniques. Employ techniques and theories drawn from many fields within the broad areas of mathematics, statistics, operations research, information science, and computer science, including signal processing, probability models, machine learning, statistical learning, pattern recognition and learning, predictive analytics, uncertainty modeling, and artificial intelligence. Youll provide your customer with a deep understanding of their data, what it all means, and how they can use it. Join us as we use data science for good to assist in accomplishing the mission.

You Have:

* Experience with creating web-based visualizations
* Knowledge of developing front end software for data visualizations or data entry
* TS/SCI clearance
* BA or BS degree

Nice If You Have:

* 3+ years of experience as a Data Scientist
* Experience with development, modification, and application of computer modeling and programming applications to analyze and solve mathematical and scientific problems
* Experience with building statistical models and developing machine learning algorithms
* Experience working with a Data Scientist team
* Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or Java
* Experience with big data technologies such as HDFS, Hadoop, or Spark
* Experience with deep learning paradigms and frameworks
* Ability to convert data into a business story
* Possession of excellent data visualization skills
* BA or BS degree in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics field

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
