Automated Test Engineer, Senior

The Challenge:

How do we know if the critical systems we develop for federal clients will stand up to real world use? How can we be sure the tools we design can integrate seamlessly into existing environments? When you build some of the most important systems in the world, you cant leave anything to chance. Thats why we need you an expert automated test engineer who understands how to test, interpret, and improve - to make sure our systems will solve real problems in the real world.

As a senior automated test engineer on our team, youll work with a software design team and lead a team of testers to analyze the creation of processes and experiments to test the functionality and performance of our systems. Throughout development, youll ensure the highest quality using cutting edge automation tools. You and your team will write test cases for unit, functional, integration, and regression test automation, based on your understanding of requirements and how they deliver business value. You know the need for baked-in security, so youll run security scans and interpret the results to be fed back in as improvements to the design.

Using your expertise in scripting, youll lead the automation of continuous security and performance testing, other non-functional testing, and monitor health of our systems. This is an opportunity to lead a team and leverage your advanced testing skills. Youll also broaden your experience in cloud development and large scale systems. You Have:

-6+ years of experience with architecting testing strategies and developing test automation using tools, including selenium

-Experience with unit, functional, integration, and regression test automation

-Experience with working in an Agile software development environment

-Experience with manual, cross-browser, cross-platform, or cross-device compatibility testing strategies

-Experience with automation test scripts, test cases, and test plan creation

-Experience with Section 508 Compliance testing using tools, including JAWS and Dragon

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Nice If You Have:

-Experience with API testing using tools, including Postman, JMeter, and SOAPUI

-Experience with performance testing using tools, including HP Load runner

-Experience with using manual or automated security testing tools and approaches

-Experience with automating non-functional requirements testing

-Experience in interacting directly with clients or end users

-Experience with supporting automated tests as part of a CI/CD pipeline
