Were now growing our software engineering team to expand the program and make it even easier for our customers to support their favorite charitable organization every time they shop.
As a Software Development Engineer, youll be working on new features and projects involving the retail website, mobile (Android and iOS), our charity registration portal (OrgCentral), Charity Lists, and our donation processing system. Youll have opportunities to process big data and design and implement services at high scale (millions of orders), all while supporting almost a million non profits across multiple countries.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C including object-oriented design
1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
Our engineers are required to have these qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field
Proficiency in at least one modern programming language, such as C++, Java, or Python
3+ years professional experience in software development
Solid understanding of Computer Science fundamentals like object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis
Experience designing and implementing distributed systems
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
An engineer is particularly valuable to our team if they have any of these qualifications:
Experience mentoring junior engineers
Experience designing and implementing distributed systems at high scale
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
