The Opportunity
Primary responsibility of this role is to support the Ally Insurance Field Sales Organization and channel strategies through data analytics and operational efficiencies. Core job functions include analyzing the efficiency of sales performance and enterprise initiatives, preparing enterprise-wide sales reporting, dashboards, business and strategic plans, monthly forecasts, and providing sales-related analytical support to our internal analytics team and matrix partners to nurture growth within the insurance business.
The ideal candidate must possess a high technical aptitude and strong leadership behaviors. He/she must be passionate about delivering accurate results, must be an innovative and strategic creative problem solver, and must have past experience with developing and presenting analytical outputs in various formats in restricted timelines.
The Work Itself
* Service the sales organization to support corporate objectives
* Works closely with business leaders and team members and provides insight for the development of new strategies, business plan outputs and goals, and supportive tools and processes
* Develop and maintain data analytics designed to assess trends, program performance, quality assurance, return on investment and improvement opportunities
* Maintains monthly, quarterly, and yearly routine reporting deliverables
* Communicates with matrix partners and stakeholders to communicate findings and escalate high risk issues to management
* Assist with special projects and complete ad hoc requests
* Provides technical and analytical support to the team members
* Executes on management direction with enterprise projects
* Ensures data validity, accuracy of deliverables while adhering to compliance policies and procedures
The Skills You Bring
* Bachelor's degree in business related field, concentration in Business Administration or analytical science preferred
* 1+ years reporting and analytics experience preferred
* Ability to provide advice/direction in primary areas of expertise
* Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite like Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word and Visio and standard Enterprise systems
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Proven ability to perform in-depth analysis and clearly report findings
* Proven experience with team collaboration on projects and meeting rigid timelines
* Strong presentation skills, including ability to articulate complex problems in a simple manner
* Experience with relational database concepts like Oracle, SQL Server preferred
* Experience with business intelligence reporting tools like SAS, Power BI, EDAP preferred
* Experience with CRM tools like Salesforce.com preferred
* Knowledge of dealer insurance products preferred
