You Will Be Responsible For:
Consistently performs all responsibilities in a manner that is reflective of the mission and philosophy of AdventHealth and Community Health Systems.
Demonstrates effective problem solving, conflict management and team-building skills.
Encourages staff to participate in incentive programs. Takes a leadership role in the department.
Consistently assumes responsibility for and effectively motivates staff through an understanding of a multi-generation and diverse work force and utilizes an effective management style to address differing motivators.
Consistently demonstrates effectiveness in the financial and operational planning and management of assigned departments as defined by AdventHealth administration team.
Consistently attends all required Department Directors, Performance Improvement, Pharmacy and Therapeutics, and other meetings as requested
Consistently communicates to staff through staff meetings, informational posting, or distribution of documents, Assumes responsibility for ensuring that staff is informed of AdventHealth and CHS policies and communication.
Consistently ensures that all employee orientation and processing procedures are followed in a timely manner.
Demonstrates practices to comply with all HIPPA regulations especially in the area of medical records and patient privacy and confidentiality.
Complies with the Joint Commission standards and state, federal agency, professionally affiliated licensure and/or regulatory survey or inspection for areas of responsibility.
Qualifications
What You Will Need:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN required.
Two years of experience in specific clinical area.
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
Current FL RN License
BLS
ACLS
PALS
Job Summary:
The Emergency Dept. Director shall be directly responsible for planning, organizing and directing policies and procedures for the departments in accordance with established policies of the medical center. Establish goals, procedures and standards for the department; supervising personnel; and collaborating with other departments to provide an optimum level of services. The Emergency Dept. Director is responsible for all services provided in the departments specified at AdventHealth Ocala. The director assumes the role as leader in planning, directing and managing the department and staff to assure quality service on a 24/7 basis. The director is responsible for meeting Joint Commission standards, complying with corporate policy and procedures, managing supplies and equipment, promoting teamwork with physicians and all health care providers, promoting internal and external customer satisfaction, and for appropriate resource management.
