The Role

This person will be responsible for leading the design/development of software defined infrastructure/automation for frictionless platform delivery in AWS and on-prem. Provides direction and guidance for the design, architecture, implementation and security of business-critical infrastructure platforms that host LFG applications. This role will provide technical leadership, subject matter expertise and direction on complex projects/initiatives for their assigned area(s) of responsibility. This position will function as a technology leader in the design, development, delivery of enterprise services in AWS and on-prem.

Responsibilities

* Leads research, design, architecture, implementation and security of enterprise services / platforms for deployment in AWS
* Develops / deploys / supports software defined infrastructure and platforms in AWS
* Builds container platform infrastrucure in AWS ( EKS, ECS , Fargate , Docker etc )
* Leads research, design, architecture and implementation of enterprise cloud services including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS) and managed platforms (PaaS).
* Provides direction and guidance for the design, architecture, implementation and security of business-critical infrastructure platforms that host LFG applications.
* Builds / maintains various infrastructure, platforms, and services that enable self-service and frictionless cloud delivery
* Develops automation for infrastructure as code (IaC) utilizing Puppet Enterprise, Ansible, Chef , Terraform
* Builds automated deployment frameworks/pipelines for CD/CI

Education

4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelors)_Minimum Required in Information Technology

Experience

* 5 - 7+ Years experience in system design/architecture that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position. (Required)
* 5 + years of proven development experience delivering infrastructure / platform as code
* Proven experience with container platforms ( EKS, ECS , Fargate , Docker etc )
* Proven infrastructure design / build / implementation experience in AWS ( IaC )
* Proven Experience deploying virtual infrastructure using AWS services (e.g. EC2, ECS, ELB, RDS, EFS, EBS, Route53, VPC, IAM, CloudFront , Lambda, Redshift, DynamoDB, S3 or comparable virtualization / Cloud experience)
* Experience with CI/CD via Gitlab/Atlassian
* Experience working in a DevOps environment
* Experience delivering projects via Agile methodologies
* Extensive AWS CloudFormation (YAML and/or JSON)
* Demonstrated Python/Shell/Powershell
* Proven Puppet EE experience deployming Infrastructure services as code (IaC)
* OS Level (RHEL7/Ubuntu/Alpine/Windows)
* AWS Certified Solution Architect Associate
* AWS Certified Solution Architect Professional ( preferred )
* AWS SysOps Administrator Associate ( preferred )
* Puppet Certified Professional ( preferred )
