Job Title: Program Finance Associate
Job Location: Norfolk, VA
Job Description: The L3Harris Maritime Services Division is growing and currently seeking a Program Financial Analyst with experience in Government Contracting (i.e., preferably Services programs oriented) to support various Ship Maintenance and Engineering program cost types such as Cost Plus, Firm Fixed Price, and Time and Material contracts.
Essential Functions:
* Focus on cost control, achieving program financial targets (Orders/Sales/Operating Income) and driving Free Cash Flow and Net Working Capital improvements.
* Work with program management and the program teams to present program Estimates at Complete to communicate the health of assigned programs using Excel financial dashboards and ERP-created reports.
* In coordination with the Project and Program Managers, prepare and maintain the Monthly Financial Reporting forecasts, budgets and estimates at completion.
* Review Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable invoices for timeliness and accuracy. Prepare A/P accruals as part of month-end close activities for assigned programs.
* Review contract award documents for new and modified contracts. Prepare project set-up/modifications for Accounting entry in CostPoint.
* Develop, communicate, and recommend action plans with program teams to ensure financial targets and program goals are achieved.
* Support finance leadership team in analysis of monthly and quarterly program performance.
* Support Ad Hoc requests and reporting as necessary.
* Provide financial analysis for audits and other financial activities, as necessary.
* Responsible for learning and enforcing L3Harris policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
* BS/BA Degree in Finance or Accounting and a minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a Program Finance Analyst supporting defense industry programs. Graduate degree or equivalent with 0 - 2 years of prior related experience.
* Advanced demonstrated experience with Excel and Microsoft Office suite.
Preferred Additional Skills:
* A positive can do attitude willing to put in the extra effort with strong attention to detail.
* Works independently with moderate supervision on larger, slightly complex projects or assignments.
* Experience with a financial ERP system, such as Deltek CostPoint.
* Experience with a financial forecasting system, such as Hyperion.
* Experience with multiple contract types (CP/FP/T&M;)
* Strong teamwork and business partnering skills.
