This position is for senior hardware (HW) design engineer working for the MVSHW Manufacturing Validation Solutions development team. You will be the lead engineer of a team chartered with the development of validation and manufacturing hardware in support of new Intel silicon. This will include the design of stand-alone platforms, various add on boards, component interposers, and Test boards to enable silicon/system validation and manufacturing test.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

* Interfacing with silicon, package, platform, system validation, and manufacturing test teams to ensure those project requirements are met

* Leading a team and/or sub-team and supervising junior engineers

* Conducting platform definition and feasibility study, schematic capture of complex high-speed (PCI-e, DDR) multilayer circuit boards, and generation of all output materials required for board layout

* Analyzing system timing and signal integrity

* Documenting routing rules, working with PCB layout designers for layout, and checking board files for correctness

* Defining and executing board hardware test plan, performing system debug and verification

* Partnering with multiple external team leads to resolve technical project issues

* Working with customers to resolve reported problems

* Driving multi-site/geo collaboration with other board designers, PCB layout designers, signal integrity engineers, board fabricators, and Intel validation and manufacturing test teams

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications

The candidate must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical, and Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.

6+ years of experience in:

* Designing and debugging high-speed boards

* PCB circuit design (Allegro, Concept HDL), schematics, BOM, circuit simulation, electrical validation, and board/system-level debug

* Analog and high-speed digital design experience

* Analytical and debugging skills

* PCB manufacturing processes

* Lab equipment including but not limited to DMM

* High-Speed Signal Analysis tools, logic analyzer interfaces, oscilloscopes, and soldering equipment (good lab exp)
