Experience a higher degree of patient care at Largo Medical Center, part of the HCA West and Central Florida hospital system. Our 455-bed acute care hospital is located on two campusesin mid-Pinellas County on the West Coast of Florida, providing medical care for the residents of Largo, and the nearby cities of Clearwater, Seminole, St. Petersburg and the Gulf Beach communities. We are the only area hospital with all private patient rooms.

The Coordinator Pharmacy Operations assists with the implementation and maintenance of clinical pharmacy programs to ensure clinical services meet the requirements and needs of the patient population and community.

Reviews medication orders and quality of technicians work to ensure appropriateness of drugs ordered, dosage, route and interactions. Adjusts medications dosage/schedule as appropriate for patient condition as per policy.

Ensures medications are safely dispensed to patients in accordance with age specific guidelines. Follows appropriate procedures for the sterile preparation of IV admixtures in compliance with USP 797 standards.

Provides oversight of pharmacy distribution activities including order receipt, product storage, controlled substance process, dispensing and other distributional functions.

Qualifications

* Bachelors of Science degree or Pharm D degree in Pharmacy from College of Pharmacy.
* 1 year recent inpatient hospital staff pharmacist experience required.
* Currently Florida Pharmacist licensed registered Pharmacist.
* Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills.
