PRN Defined: Work minimum of one shift per two week pay period to assist with staffing for coverage of absences for staff planned/unplanned and/or increase in census. The more you are available the more you can work if shifts are available

We have exciting job opportunities for nursing students who have completed at least one semester of Nursing School from an accredited school of nursing. Advanced Patient Care Tech/CNA positions were created for the working student nurse. This position combines working as a CNA/PCT to gain experience with clinical situations working alongside a Registered Nurse. We will work with your school schedule to provide flexible working hours with the end goal of you working as a New Grad RN at St. Mark's Hospital.

Position Description:

Under the general direction of his/her supervisor, the Advanced Patient Care Tech provides a variety of patient care activities for assigned patients. This level is based on experience and skill check off at the employees School of Nursing skills are validated through the education department utilizing the same check off methods as utilized with other employees.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Education:

A nursing student who has completed at least one semester in an accredited nursing program and skill certification; or a newly graduated nurse who has failed State Boards once and is without a Temporary Permit.

Experience:

Previous CNA or unit secretary experience preferred.

Licensure/Certifications:

Current Nursing Assistant Certification. American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification. CNA certification must be obtained by time of offer.
