About the Position

This position is responsible for completing the on-vehicle testing needs of tire development programs designed in Goodyear's North American Innovation Center

Primary Responsbilities

* Coordinate and run tire performance tests (such as wet and dry handling, noise evaluations and ride comfort testing) on passenger and light truck vehicles. Effectively communicate the strength and weaknesses of a tires performance with Goodyears tire development engineers, project managers and OE vehicle development engineers. Provide quality data in time to meet product development deadlines
* Work on engineering projects to improve safety, quality, and testing effiencies
* Coordinate and participate in product demonstrations to tire dealers and the media

Required Experience and Education

* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required
* Co-op experiences preferred
* 2-5 years performance driving experience preferred
* Automotive industry experience preferred

Skills and Abilities

* Basic understanding of automotive functions and vehicle dynamics with an interest in performance test driving
* Knowledge of data acquisition and vehicle instrumentation preferred
* Ability to prioritize and manage time and resources effectively
* Display a high degree of credibility, integrity, and enthusiasm
* Strong oral and written communication skills
