This position is responsible for the daily administration of all global corporate sponsored equity compensation programs, including long-term incentive (LTI) cash and stock awards, the Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP), deferred compensation (DCP) and compensation for the Board of Directors. The position reports to the Director, Global Total Rewards Employee Experience and Operations, to effectively administer all programs and continuously improve internal processes and compliance efforts, aligned with Total Rewards Center of Excellence (COE) strategy
Under the general guidance of the Total Rewards COE Directors of Global Compensation and Perquisites and Global Benefits, this role is accountable for the administration of all global, long-term incentive (cash and stock) compensation programs, ESPP, DCP and Executive Perquisites.
Daily administration includes working and attending regularly scheduled calls with external vendors, annual awards/plan enrollment project management and payments, development and deployment of employee communications, annual enrollment event coordination for DCP, maintaining plan documents, audits, reporting, issue escalation of data/employee related issues and questions, continuous learning and knowledge of regulatory laws and compliance based needs and remaining current regarding proposed and final regulations and trends impacting administration
Leads planning and priority setting of activities around all executive compensation administrative processes, metrics, best practices, efficiency initiatives and documents system/business processes
Under the general guidance of the Total Rewards COE Directors and assigned team members, collaborate to find solutions to issues and implement any updates to existing or new LTI compensation programs, ESPP, DCP and other Executive perquisites programs
Under the general guidance of the Total Rewards director, Global Benefits, monitors administration and ensures the ESPP plan monthly purchases are processed accurately by GBS payroll, prepares annual notifications to global HR ESPP administrators, and ensures proper communication between payroll, accounting, treasury and finance departments
Coordinates grant recommendations, drafts and delivers agreements and other communication materials, loads awards to internal and external administration systems, maintains stock plan ledger and supports all award related reporting
Oversees the administration and processing of various documents and activities required for stock grants, including grant authorization, notification, various transactions including exercise of stock options, sales and swaps, as well as the issuance of stock and the annual Proxy data tables and specific associated narrative documentation
Facilitates payment of all components of Board Director compensation and related reporting
Maintains records as required for audit purposes; also supports internal and external reviews/audits
Consistently identifies areas for process improvement and implements the creation, updates and regularly reviews procedure documents and process flows
Utilizes process documentation to train designated co-workers as back-up for certain tasks and responsibilities
Interprets plan provisions, research plan documents to respond to business, vendor and/or participant requests, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements are maintained accurately
Manages data transmission/ specification requirements and validation of error reports and any changes with suppliers/partners and internal stakeholders and updates related process documentation
Monitors data feeds between Ball and supplier/partners to ensure the timely and accurate transmission of required data for executive compensation programs. Leverages internal and external contacts to resolve any issues and escalates as necessary
Provides analysis as required to support executive compensation activities such as audits, project planning for event based tasks and process improvement exercises with in-depth review of tasks to find efficiency gains
Provides requisite consultation to various organizations when software roll-outs, platform migrations/updates or outsourcing changes result in revisions to existing software programs or processes
Recommends and implements process improvement solutions and resolves issues, escalating to Director, Global Employee Experience and Operations when required
Responds timely to all inquiries from employees, executives, retirees, beneficiaries, Board Directors and vendors resolving issues and escalating items as necessary
Serves as backup for processing reports including expat assignments and hypo tax system updates and compiling any associated executive compensation summary data.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Director, Total Rewards Global Employee Experience and Operations, some of which may become permanent responsibilities
Establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the division group, company and vendors, including ability to handle stress and to interact with others so as to establish and maintain a positive, respectful and productive work environment and minimize personal conflicts
Compensation & Benefits
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $75,000 - $101,500 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.)
Job Grade: 10
This role will be eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.
