Come join a diverse and collaborative team of researchers who work directly with data scientists, product managers and other cross-functional partners to make the best social platform for Facebook's users and businesses. For this position, we are looking for a survey methodologist to help us understand attitudes, perceptions and user-sentiment through methodologically robust survey instruments. The ideal candidate will be a social scientist with expertise in survey methodology (e.g., questionnaire design, bias correction, sampling) and quantitative research methods or a quantitative specialist with experience solving survey methodology problems (especially for self-administered online surveys).
UX Survey Methodologist Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain high-quality business- and consumer-facing surveys that help ensure the integrity of our advertising and commerce products
* Conduct ad hoc deep-dive analyses on survey results as needed
* Work cross-functionally with data science, product management, and other cross-functional partners
* Partner with data science to create survey-based product success metrics
* Communicate results and illustrate suggestions in compelling and creative ways
* Collaborate with researchers across the company to elevate research findings
Minimum Qualifications
* 3+ years experience in survey research, demography or a related field
* Experience with start-to-finish ownership and execution of large-scale, high-impact survey projects
* Experience conducting international/cross-cultural surveys
* Experience with SQL and R
* Experience with item response theory, measurement invariance techniques, or similar skills
* Experience with hierarchical modeling and structural equation modeling
* Experience with cognitive testing, sampling strategy and non-response bias correction
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with Python
* Experience with consumer sentiment tracking surveys
