POSITION SUMMARY:
The Manager of Tax Reporting is responsible for assisting with the tax provision under ASC 740. The position will report to the Senior Manager of Tax Reporting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Manage the documentation and gather support for quarterly reporting
* Manage the documentation and accounting for uncertainty in income taxes
* Manage the SOX review and ensure proper controls are documented
* Assist and train accounting personnel within the company on proper accounting for income taxes under U.S. GAAP
* Optimize tax systems to utilize software enhancements and capabilities
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Demonstrated leadership skills with multinational teams, including the ability to work effectively across cultures.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment with various styles
* Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, adjusting priorities when appropriate
* Intellectually agile enough to be comfortable in participative problem-solving environments with executive and other senior management
* Business and bottom-line focused, results oriented with a demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, and successfully conclude change
* Experienced and comfortable with analysis and reporting utilizing accounting and tax software, databases and Excel spreadsheets. Experience with Longview Consolidations and Longview Tax provision a plus
* Extensive knowledge of tax laws and regulations and research tools
* Strong understanding of tax accounting and tax compliance.

* Strong interpersonal, verbal. and written communication skills with the ability to frame communications appropriate to audience
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
* Bachelor's degree with emphasis in Accounting, Tax, or equivalent
* The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of tax planning and compliance experience with progressively responsible roles focused on federal and/or international tax research, planning, compliance, and audit management
* Preferred CPA and Masters in Tax or Accounting
* Career experiences from: (a) Public accounting with a large firm and attainment of increasing levels of responsibility; or (b) Corporate taxation and, ideally, US-based multinational experience in a manufacturing environment with increasing levels of responsibility in the tax area
* Hands on experiences researching and documenting complex tax issues, implementing tax savings strategies, and analyzing volumes of financial information, creating financial reports, etc
* Experience in a broad range of tax areas is ideal
