Position Summary:
Integrated DNA Technologies is looking for a hard-working, enthusiastic intern to join the Corporate Communications team. This role will work collaboratively across many departments throughout the company on a variety of internal communications initiatives and provide the candidate with hands-on experience in corporate communications.
As part of the IDT Corporate Communications team, you will support a variety of internal communications efforts, including associate communications, company Intranet, and associate engagement initiatives.
Responsibilities will include:
* Update and maintain Corporate Communications Calendar
* Maintain Corporate Communications Log
* Distribute global communications via newsletter distribution program, Poppulo
* Update Intranet with current communications and corporate information
* Assist other departments with PowerPoint presentations
* Update and maintain company glossary
* Coordinate associate engagement newsletter features
* Assist Associate Recognition program launch and maintenance
* Organize and archive important company communications
Desired Skills and Experience:
* Working towards/already completed a Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Public Relations or Communications
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, including strong copyediting skills
* Good attention to detail
* Excellent PC skills including familiarity with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiarity with SharePoint a plus
* Willingness and ability to take initiative, and to work in a fast-paced environment requiring the ability to juggle multiple tasks
* Solid interpersonal skills and team orientation
* Background in Biology, Chemistry, or Biochemistry a plus
