A Day in the Life
The GYN Principal Marketing Specialist leads market development and demand generation strategy and initiatives for the U.S. Gynecologic Health business. The GYN Principal Marketing Specialist is responsible for development and execution of strategies to drive sustainable procedure / portfolio growth establishing MDT GYN target therapies as the standard-of-care. This individual achieves their goals by leading cross-functional teams to analyze market barriers, developing strategies to overcome them and delivering on integrated marketing programs to drive share gain and revenue growth.
This position reports to the US GYN Sr. Marketing Manager. The position is located in either Boulder, CO or New Haven, CT with team members and stakeholders across Boulder, CO, New Haven, CT and Mansfield, MA. Anticipated travel is up to 50%.
Key Responsibilities:
In conjunction with the US Marketing Lead and Product Manager, creates the annual US Region market development and demand generation plan that achieves market growth targets for Gynecologic Health in alignment with US Region strategic goals (including key strategic focus areas, tactics, financial objectives and budgets)
Leads integrated marketing program strategy and execution to drive awareness and demand for target therapy
Program manager for US Region GYN procedure growth initiatives, including driving therapy utilization. Responsible for leading cross-functional teams to plan, resource and execute these initiatives
Leads market opportunity assessments (PAA) within gynecologic health to analyze key market barriers and develop strategic market development action plans.
Leads customer segmentation and patient psychographic research initiatives to inform market growth plans and refinement of US Region strategy
Manages GYN key opinion leaders (KOLs) and medical society/advocacy initiatives to advocate disease state specific care guidelines, guide clinical evidence & value-based care initiatives and establish broad based programs that drive peer-to-peer acceptance of emerging GYN procedures
In conjunction with OU resources, defines and governs market development and go-to-market programs, ensuring attainment of market growth / revenue targets in line with AOP
Collaborates with GYN Marketing Leader to manage discretionary budget and resource allocation
Establishes and maintains partnerships and on-going communication with field sales teams, global product and specialty teams and other functional partners

Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree required
Minimum of 7 years of experience inclduing 5 years of experience in downstream Marketing or Strategy within the medical device, healthcare or life sciences industry, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of marketing experience
Nice to Have
Experience leading digital marketing and demand generation campaigns
Proven track record of executing complex market growth programs in highly-matrixed environments
Strong program management skills and adept at leading cross functional teams
Experience managing discretionary budgets in excess of $500k
MBA preferred

The successful candidate is a recognized expert in their disease state and has a track record of driving attributable procedure growth through market access programs that resolve barriers to optimal therapy utilization and increase long-term patient engagement in care decisions.

Communication Skills
This individual is a skilled communicator – able to covey complex strategies succinctly. S/he frequently interacts with US Region Commercial LT to influence US Region commercial strategy and expanded support for initiatives.
