The Alternate Funding Implementation Specialist is responsible for managing the new business and migration experience for customers and brokers with UnitedHealthcare's alternate funding product.
The principal focus is to serve as the key liaison between the customer, broker and account executive throughout the Alternate Funding sales and migration processes.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Lead implementation of new business and migration groups
* Conduct meetings with customers to identify process, set expectations and review required documentation
* Work with brokers and account executives to gather required documents/information and answer incoming questions regarding new business installations and new business quotes
* Work with broker, customer, account executive and implementation teams to successfully install new business cases
* Work with local team to transition customer to field account managers
* Collaborate with dedicated functional teams to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
* Build and sustain positive relationships with brokers / consultants through direct and indirect communication
* Educate and consult with brokers on implementation process including required documentation
* Expand broker expertise and reliance on eTools to drive usage and adoption
* Maintain and provide information to the Account Executive on status of cases
* Broker Website Management
* Perform customer audits as needed
* Perform administrative tasks to support new business process
* Perform other assignments and responsibilities as required by management

Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
* 3+ years of account management, sales or customer service experience in the insurance industry
* Current health / life Insurance license as required by law (or willingness to obtain)
* Maintain a valid driver's license
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, ability to learn internal technology tools / systems
* You will be asked to perform this role in an office setting or other company location
* Employees are required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener prior to entering the work site each day, in order to keep our work sites safe. Employees must comply with any state and local masking orders. In addition, when in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are expected to wear a mask in areas where physical distancing cannot be attained
