Oracle Manufacturing and Distribution (M&D) is responsible for distribution of network and desktop hardware, software and marketing material to Oracle's internal and external customers worldwide. The Role
The Operational Analyst will be responsible to support the laptop and computer peripherals configuration, returns and distribution to Oracle employees. Install, configure, test and verify laptop and peripheral devices. Planning and processing of hardware requests to meet deadlines. Work with Operations team and Oracle IT engineers to troubleshoot daily laptop build issues to meet deadlines for employee's laptop delivery. Print material, ship hardware requests and update applications as per M&D processes. Provide daily status and reports to management for reviews. Perform hardware receiving, inspection, count inventory to maintain accuracy. Keep labs, work areas clean, safe and follow all safety guidelines, and consistently demonstrates and incorporates principals of safety for self and others into daily activities. Identify areas for process improvement, cost savings, and collaborate with associates, management and IT to improve efficiency and productivity. Review and update procedures to ensure accuracy to meet business requirements.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
BA/BS degree.
Knowledge of PC and desktop hardware, i.e. laptop imaging process
Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience.
Exhibits strong organizational skills, attention to detail and follow-through and with
the ability to maintain professionalism under pressure.
Work Requirements
Operational Analyst is an essential role and will report to our Belmont, CA office
daily. This position does not offer telework, remote or working from home
options.
Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and
peripherals. Ability to lift, drive M&D vehicles, carry, push, or pull up to 30 lbs.
Sitting, standing, or walking for extended periods of time.
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power
tools, and other computer components.
Reporting Relationship:
This position reports to the Director of Operations
Responsible for shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing materials, parts supplies, and equipment. Includes material planning and scheduling.
Responsible for planning, scheduling, and monitoring the movement of material through the production cycle to ensure availability for customer orders. Coordinates the manufacture of new products at approved suppliers. Creates purchase orders and resolves invoice issues. Continuous assessment of manufacturing processes to ensure cost effectiveness and efficiency. Meets with suppliers to ensure highest quality product deliveries within established lead times. Maintains accurate data for purchasing, bill of material, and inventory management. Verifies assembled products conform to defined specifications.
Work involves some problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and procedures. Typically graduate or equivalent with 0 - 2 year experience. B.S. degree. Strong attention to detail. Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment. Analytical skills and ability to meet deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Negotiation skills.
