Production Expediter Summary:

Assists in managing program workflows to insure delivery criteria are met and aging orders stay within program SLA requirements. Assists in on boarding of new programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Work with Supervisors and staff to insure management of aging program orders.
* Runs aging reports and locates oldest orders.
* Takes steps to accelerate the production of aging orders
* Train seasonal expeditors on aging order management techniques.
* Elevate upsets and delays to management.
* Assist area leads in managing their WIP queues.
* This position has no direct reports, however, the Expeditor has a measure of authority in all production areas, only superseded by the supervisor.
* The position provides leadership and coaching for the seasonal expeditors, working with the supervisor to get the most value from this function.
* During slow periods the Expeditor may be called upon to perform any number of other tasks, from report generation to machine operation.

Education/Experience: Three to six months prior experience and/or training in an Expeditor position in a print environment.

Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Computer Skills: Strong knowledge working with Email, word processing. Excel and DPCS

Work Environment: Production Floor. Work near moving mechanical parts.
